Novel pyrazole derivatives were discovered in our lab and found to be good antimicrobial agents against different drug-resistant bacteria including methicillin-resistant  Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Acinetobacter baumannii.

Natural products

We have discovered efficient methodologies to synthesize thiazole-fused natural products and drugs. These thiazoles are very potent against melanoma in both in vitro and in vivo studies.  Thiazole-fused nootkatones are antibacterial agents.
